Event results
Club member, and event Director Andrew Thompson, managed to jump through several hoops, to ensure the Jumbo Holdsworth went ahead as planned under our new "red light" restrictions. Everyone in the long event were sent the same way, and in waves of 100, to limit the gathering numbers, with 40 and under leaving at 8am and over 40 at 9pm. The Hooper Loop start time was 9:30. The weather was a very warm 29 degrees with little relief on the tops.
Olympic cleaned up in the super vet category with Adrian Jurke and Tracy Berghan winning the Holdsworth Jumbo and Richie Martin and Jan Sheppard the Hooper Loop. Martin McCrudden, Sarah Bakker and Nathan Cornell picked up 3rd place in their race/categories. Liz Anderson, Andy Rawlins and Rik Van Looy were all first timers on the Jumbo Holdsworth.
The Sub 1 hour accolade was achieved by Simon Angus and Marty, reaching Powell Hutt in the time set to win the coveted cap.
Captain Rob McCrudden continued his 28 yr. racing the event!
