Coaching Courses - please register now and/or pass this info to those within your club who should take up these opportunities

We have a full range of coaching courses on offer over the coming months.  For those want to register for the full IAAF Level 2 Coaching Course you need to do this before Friday 12 June (so the end of this week).  If you only want to do some of the modules from the Level 2 IAAF Course that's fine too, but if you're thinking you'll end up doing them all you MUST register for the full course at the start otherwise you won't receive the qualification.

For full details on all our coaching courses including Run Jump Throw, and IAAF Kids Athletics please go to this link.  We would encourage you to register for all courses now rather than leaving it till the last minute.  This helps with our planning too:

You can register for all of these courses online.

Dorne Cup this Saturday 13 June

The next cross country interclub on the calendar is the Dorne Cup this Saturday 13 June.  This is hosted by the Hutt Valley Harrier Club and is held at Trentham Memorial Park in Upper Hutt.  You must have a timing chip and be registered AND financial in your club's IMG/Clubnet system for this timing chip to work.  So if you're planning to race and you can't find your timing chip or it's damaged, or you haven't signed up and paid yet you MUST do this by tomorrow (Wednesday).  For info on the Dorne Cup including race times and distances please go to http://hvh.org.nz/dornecup2015/

Congratulations to the athletes who have been named on the Athletics Wellington Athlete Development Squad (AWAD Squad)

We are excited about this new development as it will give our top young athletes tools to help them achieve their goals and bridge the gap between where they are now, and what they want to achieve in the future.  The programme will focus on individual performance plans, goal setting, athlete life, nutrition, sports psychology and strength and conditioning.  To see who has been named in the AWAD Squad go to this link:
