Dorne Cup - Saturday 9 June 6 Jun 2012.
The Dorne Cup is one of the biggest events on the Wellington interclub calendar.
It is held on the fields of Trentham Memorial Park - with some stream crossings, ditch crossings and river bank crossings thrown in to add to the challenge.
Medals are awarded to the first three in each grade, and certificates are awarded to members of the winning team.
This is also the second race that counts for the Olympic interclub points competition (awarded to finishers with the highest points earned over four interclub races) – which determines the club's highest overall achievers – and the incentive points competition (awarded to those who finish better than their club rankings over the four inter-club races). It also counts for the club representative badge, awarded to those who finish in the counting team (for the other races) in four out of five interclub races.
Like other interclub race, if you have paid your subs and have a timing chip you do not need to enter for this race – just turn up.
