Brendon Keenan for 24hr World Champs 30 Mar 2012.

Athletics New Zealand has selected Brendon Keenan to represent New Zealand in the IAU 24 Hour World championships to be held on 8th/9th September in Katowice Poland.

With Brendan are Alex McKenzie, Graeme Butcher, Brian McCorkndale and Wayne Botha to make the mens team. The womens team selection is Amy Campbell, Valerie Muskett and Vivian Cheng.

Brendan has had great success with ultra distance events over the last year and seems to be going from strength to strength. His most recent event was the running the first 60km of the Vibram Tarawera Ultra Marathon whilst coming back from injury with a 4th fastest time of 6:18:06. His most impressive recent success was setting a new course record of 15:58:16 running solo for the 160km Round the Mountain race in November.
