National Roads Deemed a Success 7 Sep 2003.

Dana Hastie Perfect conditions and dazzling racing were the most obvious plaudits taken from official releases following the National Road races on the Wellington Waterfront this Saturday.
Olympic once again enjoyed success with Dana Hastie adding the national road title to her national cross country title, running a well judged race in the women under 20 age group.

Dave Murgatroyd Dave Murgatroyd lowered is recent centre road champs time to take out 3rd place in the masters men 40-45 age grade.
The course must have been good as Mike Wakelin also lowered his centre championship time for his 10th placing in the Senior men's event.
The results point to close racing throughout all the fields, this could definately be put down to Wellington's Public showing their usual great support for what is a top class sporting event, held in the centre of their city.
