Olympic Masters the 19th Masters' Road Races 4 Aug 2003.
The 19th Masters' Road Races were held in Johnsonville on 3 August 2003
Dave Murgatroyd won the men's run in a time of 29:38, first of the women was Diane Rogers of Trentham United in 40:42. John Palmer of Scottish took out the men's walk in a time of 43:19 with Diane Isherwood of Wainuiomata walking in as first woman and second overall in 44:46. The teams event (mixed gender, four to count), Olympic was first on countback with 45 points, followed by Scottish also with 45 points, Trentham United 49 points and Valleys United 55 points.
After the races, as is the custom, runners and walkers were treated to a hot lunch in the Olympic Harriers' clubrooms.
Congratulations go to Brian Watson of Olympic Harriers who has been organising this successful event for Wellington Masters Athletics since 1985.
