Matt Prosser at the NZ Mountain Champs 2003 More Olympic Members have been added to the New Zealand team to contest the World Mountain Running Trophy on 19-21 September 2003, in Girdwood, Alaska, USA. Following recent strong performances the team has been bolstered by the addition of both local and overseas athletes.

Hayden Prosser, currently based in the USA has been included as a reserve for the senior men's team, Joining Mike Wakelin. Lyndon McGaughran has been added to the junior team, joining Matt Prosser. Dana Hastie has also been added to the team as a reserve.

This means that Olympic athletes once again form a significant part of the team. 8 of the 21 strong team are from the Athletics Wellington Centre. Auckland has 3, Manawatu 1, Taranaki 1, Waikato 2, Tasman 1, Hawkes Bay Gisborne 1 & 3 are USA based.
