Club run from Alex Moore 28 Apr 2016.

Pack run/walk from clubrooms - Sat 30 April,1:45
A chance to regroup after the big day out last week -- it was only 2 km but it was a tough haul up the back straight into the wind.  Perhaps a bit longer this week, but not so hard.

...or... Wellington Mountain Run Champs - Sat 30 Apr - Wainuiomata 1pm
For those seeking glory, this 10k race is a good bet.  Only for the hardy so the field is small and in many cases you can finish in the bottom few of your grade and still get a regional medal!  Sign up on the website: http://www.sportsground.co.nz/wainuiomataaahc/79926/1

University Relays next up - 7 May - QEII Park
Same deal as with the Shaw Baton, we will be sending a link soon for you to register your interest.  Another relay with a whole bunch of teams and clubs enjoying the fresh air by the sea -- with the bonus that we don't have to set it up!  Details of the race and grades etc are on the Wellington Athletics website http://www.athleticswellington.org.nz/News/university-relays-at-mckays-crossing-saturday-7-may

Membership subs can be paid online
If you enjoyed the Shaw Baton and are keen for more then sign up for the season. Like last year subs are being organised through the online system.  Saves finding the cheque book in the back of the junk drawer.

Go to our memberdesk to login and renew your membership at https://memberdesq.imgstg.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=main&OrgID=10499 .  Details about fees are there, and of course the standard option for you to get reminded about your password.

Look the part
Seeing a sea of black white and red singlets storming towards the finish is uplifting.  If you need to buy or update your kit, go to the membership part of the club website or shop online to make it all easy here: https://shopdesq.imgstg.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=productlisting&CategoryID=5104&OrgID=10499

Kids and families, check this out!!
For five and up, Sean McCrudden will run a programme of games and races that extends long enough for Mum and Dad to have a cup of tea after their own run with the pack if that's what they want.  Sean knows what he is doing having been involved with kids programmes for many years.

What is it:  Meet Sean outside the clubrooms around 2pm.  We offer fun games, fitness games, specific training and race guidance. On race days, Sean will take the children over the courses before they race. This will also involve warming them up. There will also be social walks available for the parents who want to get out there and enjoy exercise

After Run Care? 3pm-4pm!!! We also provide an opportunity for the parents to sit down and relax. Sean will take the children for a further 30 - 45mins after you have finished your run to give you some time to socialise with the other club members.
