Shaw Baton at Battle Hill 18 Apr 2016.

Shaw Baton Relay, Battle Hill Pauhatanui, Sat 23 April (no dogs)

Thanks to all those who got their registrations in nice and early -- for the few yet to register the rego page closes off at 9:30 on Tuesday night.  Its quick to do (so is the race - laps are 2km), and it's free!  All you have to do is visit this web link:
https://eventdesq.imgstg.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=main&EventDesqID=19003&OrgID=10499

Signing up for the whole season can be done later, but you need to register so we can sort out what the teams will be.

  • 10:00am Helpers for the course set up needed at the park.  Yes it is early, but there is a fair bit to do.  Parking starts to ramp up from 11:30 so that's the next time for helpers to aim for.
  • 1:00pm Women's races 4 runners per team: Senior Women (20-39), W40+ (Masters Women), Junior women/youth girls (W-U15 to W-U20)
  • 1:50pm Under 10's 1km fun run - scratch race (non relay - mass start) U10 (Boys and girls under 10)
  • 2:00pm Juniors 4 runners per team: G-U14 (Girls Under 14) G-U12 (Girls Under 12) B-U14 (Boys Under 14) B-U12 (Boys Under 12) U14 (Mixed Under 14) U12 (Mixed Under 12)
  • 2:50pm Youth / Seniors / Masters 6 runners per team: Senior Men (20-39), M40 (Masters Men 40+), O50 (Open Masters (men and women) 50+), junior men/youth boys (M-U15 to M-U20).

If you have spare energy and/or time we want to be able to offer something sweet to the punters alongside the BBQ we will be running.  Ideally something about the size you would pay an even dollar (or perhaps two) for, and that cost less than that to make!  Times being what they are, a note with the ingredients would be good so those running the stall can answer questions relating to allergies etc.

Registration closes 9:30pm Tuesday -- do it now
